PALMYRA TOWNSHIP – WAYNE COUNTY December 7 , 2020

Chairman Steffen called the meeting to order at 6:30 PM. Roll call of the Supervisors showed that Chairman Steffen , Supervisor Kmetz and Supervisor Hanf were present. Supervisor Hanf made a motion to accept the previous month’s minutes as written with a second by Supervisor Kmetz and all Supervisors voting yes.

Treasurer’s Report is on file as well as posted on the back wall. Chairman Steffen made a motion to accept the Treasurer’s Report with a second by Supervisor Hanf and all Supervisors voting yes.

Chairman Steffen made a motion to accept the 2021 budget (Resolution 2020-05) totaling $217,085.00 with a second by Supervisor Kmetz and all Supervisors voting yes.

Chairman Steffen made a motion to accept the proposal from Brian T. Kelly , CPA and Associates to perform the 2020 fiscal audit at the cost of $3,900.00 with a second by Supervisor Hanf and all Supervisors voting yes.

Chairman Steffen made a motion to accept Tax Resolution 2020-04 with no increase with a second by Supervisor Kmetz and all Supervisors voting yes.

The bills are on file as well as posted on the back wall. Chairman Steffen made a motion to pay the bills with a second by Supervisor Kmetz and all Supervisors voting yes.

Police Report was given by Officer Bertholf and is on file.

Fire Report is on file .

Ambulance Report was given by Jeff Phys is on file. He stated that the office trailer is in and will be up and running by next week.

Road Report was given by Road Master Kmetz and is on file . Road Master Kmetz stated the generator is installed and that all that needs to be done is to have Firmstone Oil Company hook up the propane. Road Master Kmetz stated that the 2007 truck will need to replaced next year.

Correspondence - The Township received its normal newsletters, pamphlets, brochures and magazines that are posted on the back wall. The township received the Hawley Area Authority minutes.

Public Comment - None

Zoning Report was given by Mr. Natale and is on file . Mr. Natale asked if the Board would waive the building permits fees for the Hawley Ambulance Corp. With that being said, Supervisor Hanf made a motion to waive the fees with a second by Supervisor Kmetz and all Supervisors voting yes. Mr. Natale went on to say that the township had received an application from Verizon to put up antennas for cell phones.

Planning Commission - Mr. Natale stated there was nothing to report.

Public Comment - None

Emergency Management Supervisor Hanf stated he attend ed quarterly training on November 18th .

Crime Report - Supervisor Kmetz stated there was nothing to report.

Solicitor’s Report - Mr. Treat stated that that the Sheriff’ s sale is still scheduled for the property on Bow Tie Lane and he went on to say that he had heard nothing from any of the parties involved. He stated that he still has not heard anything regarding the regional ambulance meeting but that he was going to check into it.

Supervisor Hanf made a motion to adjourn at 6:42 PM with a second by Supervisor Kmetz and all Supervisors voting yes.

Next scheduled meeting is January 4, 2021 as well as the Reorganizational meeting at 6:30 PM.
