PALMYRA TOWNSHIP – WAYNE COUNTY July 18, 2023

Chairman Steffen called the board of supervisors meeting to order at 6:30 PM. Roll call showed all supervisors were present.

The purpose of this meeting is to interview our candidate for the open Supervisor position left vacant by the resignation of Mike Hanf effective July 1, 2023.

Mr. Steve Bartleson was the only eligible candidate for the supervisor position. Chairman Steffen asked Steve a few questions about himself and his career, as well as about things related to township’s business or concerns. Supervisor Kmetz also had the opportunity to ask questions, but all stated he was pleased with Steve’s answers to Chairman Steffens questions and had no further comments.

After a short question period questions were open to the public with no comments made.

Chairman Steffen then made a motion to appoint Mr. Steve Bartleson to the supervisor position left open by Mike Hanf, with a second from Supervisor Kmetz, and all supervisors voting yes.

Steve Bartleson was then sworn into the Oath of Office by Chairman Steffen. Oath of Office paperwork has been signed and sealed. Chairman Steffen then made a motion to end the meeting, with a second by Supervisor Kmetz, and all supervisors voting yes.

Meeting ended at 6:43 PM. Next scheduled meeting is our monthly business meeting on August 7, 2023.
