The Palmyra TWP Board of Supervisor's will hold a Public Hearing on TUESDAY September 8, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. at the Palmyra Township Municipal Building, 219 Oak Street, Hawley, Pennsylvania to consider three proposed Ordinances.
A Large Scale Solar Ordinance, a Data Center Ordinance and a Trash / Rubbish Ordinance.
Also under consideration will be updates / amendments to the existing Zoning Ordinance and it's Schedule of Districts, as well as a Zoning Map update.
The purpose of these Ordinances and Updates is to provide for the health, safety and general welfare of citizens of the Township and any and all guests of the Township.
Any and all persons interested in commenting on said Ordinances and Updates should appear at the above time and date.

- Amend definition of Motor Vehicles to match definition in Trash Ordinance.
- Amend definition of Junkyard to match definition in Trash Ordinance.
- Remove Junk definition.
- Add to ยง125-30 Wind Energy Sysytems, H - A fifty ( 50 ) acre minimum will be required.
- Updates / Amendments to the Scedule of Districts
- Commercial / Large Scale Solar allowed as a Conditional Use in the C-1 and I-1 districts.
- Commercial / Large Scale Wind Turbine allowed as a Conditional Use in the C-1 and I-1 districts.
- Data Centers allowed as a Conditional Use in the C-1 and I-1 districts.
- Automobile Graveyards allowed as a Conditional Use in the C-1 and I-1 districts.
- Junkyards allowed as a Conditional Use in the C-1 and I-1 districts.
- Junkyards to be removed as a Conditional Use from the R-R district.
